Alain Briere is an award-winning creative leader and filmmaker known for crafting emotionally resonant, human-centered stories for some of the world’s most iconic brands — including Apple, Adidas, Conservation International, XQ Superschool Project, Earthjustice, ESPN, BMW, Nissan, Peugeot, Air France, Intel, UPS, and Visa.
A maker at heart, Alain brings experience blending storytelling and brand building with a filmmaker’s instinct for craft and simplicity. After 20 years collaborating with Apple, he’s honed a deep understanding of experiential storytelling, creating work that connects people to ideas in ways that feel both intimate and human.
As a Creative Director at Media Arts Lab, Alain helped launch many of Apple’s most iconic products, from iPod and iPhone to iPad and MacBook Air leading award-winning global campaigns that defined a generation of storytelling for the brand.
As Executive Creative Director at Media Arts Lab for Good, he helped launch Laurene Powell Jobs’ social impact initiative. There, he concept and directed campaigns for XQ Super School Project, Earthjustice, and Conservation International — collaborating with voices like Harrison Ford, Lupita Nyong’o, Liam Neeson, and Reese Witherspoon.
As Executive Creative Director, and Film Director at BeGrizzlee Alain concept and directed two new Global brand campaigns, AppleCare+ featuring products like, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, and MacBooks. He also concept and directed a global animated campaign (AASP) Apple Authorized Service Providers, and Adidas Female Black History Month, and a Pride campaign/product line collaboration with Australian Artist Kris Andrew Small.
Most recently, Alain directed the feature documentary "Here’s To The Crazy Ones" chronicling the life and legacy of legendary ad visionary Lee Clow, and his creative partnership with Jay Chiat and Steve Jobs. Executive Co-produced by Jon Kamen, and Frank Sherma @RadicalMedia and Lee Clow Clowt Production, the film premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, and most recently in the US at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
Born in Canada and based in Los Angeles, when he’s not behind the camera, you’ll find him surfing, biking, or building something new in Santa Monica Canyon, where he lives with his wife Kim and daughter Chloe.
